New Delhi (Kalinga Voice) : Spike of 69,652 CORONA positive cases are detected and 977 deaths are reported in India, in the last 24 hours.
The COVID19 tally in the country rises to 28,36,926 including 6,86,395 active cases. As of now, 20,96,665 cured/discharged/migrated from COVID hospitals & the corona death toll reaches 53,866, says Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
India scales a new peak in daily testing. More than 9 lakh #COVID19 tests conducted in the last 24 hours. The positivity rate comes down below 8%. Total number of samples tested up to 19th August is 3,26,61,252 including 9,18,470 samples tested yesterday, informed Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR)
Early identification through TESTING, surveillance & contact TRACING along with focus on timely and appropriate clinical TREATMENT of #COVID19 patients have ensured that only a small proportion of active cases are on ventilator support. Only 0.28% of the patients are on ventilator support, whereas 1.92% are in ICU. Only 2.62% of the total infected are on Oxygen support .
