Suparno Satpathy has expressed gratitude with CM Naveen Patnaik for the approval of Talcher Medical College. In a tweet Shri. Satpathy says ” This was long due. Gratitude with CM @Naveen_Odisha Babu. Best wishes for our friends @mahanadicoal Should this facility come up as originally envisaged, this shall be huge for the people in my part of the world.”
It is to be noted that the Chief Minister of Odisha Naveen Pattanaik has approved yesterday the proposal of @mahanadicoal to start the Mahanadi Institute of Medical Sciences & Research in Talcher, Angul. Health and Family Welfare department of Odisha will run the medical college and hospital, MCL will provide the necessary funds.
MCL shall fund the establishment and operating costs of this medical college and Govt of Odisha shall operate it. The 100 medical seat college and a 500-bed hospital shall be constructed in 20 acres of Govt land.
KR Vasudevan of MCL said that this medical college and hospital shall be a give back to the society by MCL.
