WODC Chairman Asit Tipathy Visits Nuapada District

Bhubaneswar/Nuapada (Kalinga Voice) :       Principal Advisor to Chief Minister, Odisha and Chairman of Western Odisha Development Council  visited today  to Nuapada District, laid Foundation Stone for construction of 500 seated WODC Town Hall –cum-Auditorium of Nuapada with estimated cost of Rs. 7.78 Cr. People of both the NACs ,Khariar Road and Nuapadaalongwith National College, Nuapada will get benefit out of this most felt need project,which was a long standing demand of MLA,Nuapada& also proposed by the District Administration.

       Sri AsitTripathy interacted with the students of National College, Nuapada. Encouraged them to peruse career in Entrepreneurship . Some of the problems faced by them were highlighted . Chairman WODC assured that their drinking water problem and ladies washroom problems will be solved by WODC.

       Sri Tripathy during his  visit made a detailed review of the status of agri and agri enterprise & talked a dozen of MKUY beneficiaries in a meeting conducted at SadbhawanaSabhagruha ,Nuapada. The poultry farming is very remunerative and doing very well . Fisheries sector also is quite potential tomorrow visiting a fish farmer joins supplying early fish fingerlings .District has taken initiative for crop diversification of cotton , maize and onion around 12000/6000 and 5000 hactres respectively. WODC will examine if interventions like storage for onion will help farmers reap remunerative price later.

Chairman, WODC made a surprise visit to District H.QtrsHospital,Nuapada& interacted with the attendants of the patients,who expressed their satisfaction on the health services. Separate 20 beded ICU & oxygen pipeline connections to another 50 beds have been done out of WODC Special Covid -19 Assistance.Chairman, WODC during his Nuapada District visit today made into Khariar Rd Railway Station along with MLA,Nuapada and took note of the  health services in Life Line Express organized by Impact India Foundation with the support of MLA,Nuapada.
