Bhubaneswar: Rotary Club of Bhubaneswar Kalinga with its highly inspired professional members is dedicated to serve the society as per the motto of Rotary i.e. “Service above Self”. As a part of its community service and for the accomplishment of Rotary vision, Rotary club of Bhubaneswar Kalinga, is committed to honour eminent personalities of Odisha for their outstanding contributions. This year for their outstanding contribution in the field of Community Service, Health Care and Art & Culture eminent personalities of Odisha Prof. (Dr) Aditya Kumar Mohanty, Prof. (Dr) Bidyut Kumar Das, Sri Sankar Prasad Basumallik were honoured with “Rotary Kalinga Samman 2022” respectively at an event held today at Bhanja Kala Mandap, Kalpana Square, Bhubaneswar. The Awardees were introduced by Past President Rtn Dr Hadibandhu Pattnayak, Past President Rtn Anoop Kumar Panigrahi and President-Nominee Rtn Trilok Ranjan Dash respectively.
Dr Rabinarayan Senapati, IAS (Retd), Former Chairman State Finance Commission and Former State Election Commissioner graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. He was introduced by the Chartered President Rtn Ashok Kumar Mohapatra. The Chief Guest along with the Past District Governors felicitated the recipients of Rotary Kalinga Samman 2022. They also felicitated newly elected District Governor for 2024-25 Rtn Yagnasish Mohapatra. The Club also felicitated Dr Purna Chandra Bahinipati and Er. Brahmananda Swain for their dedicated service to the society.Speaking on this occasion Rtn. Radhamohan Pattnaik, President Rotary Club of Bhubaneswar Kalinga said, as a member of Rotary international we are always dedicated to serve the society.
Rotary Club of Bhubaneswar Kalinga focuses its activities in the areas of disease prevention & treatment, water sanitation & hygiene, basic education & literacy, maternal & child health, community economic development and supporting the environment. Post the felicitation programme a cultural programme held with the mesmerising dance performance by the artists from Adruta Children Home and musical night by the artists of Soor Tarang. At the end, the President-Elect Rtn Manindra Kumar Panigrahi proposed the Vote of Thanks.
