Odisha’s Emerging Startups came together at FUTURECORN MEET – A one-of-a-kind session to build a robust Startup Ecosystem

Bhubaneswar: Startup Odisha, initiative of MSME Department, Govt of Odisha, organised Odisha Futurecorn Meet – Startups’ Meet which bought the emerging startups under one platform todiscuss ideas and create an  inclusive & robust Startup Ecosystem.

The event was chaired by Dr. Omkar Rai, Executive Chairman of Startup Odisha and MdSadiqueAlam, IAS, CEO of Startup Odisha.  The dignitaries shared their vision to help the startups to become the Futurecorn of Odisha and also shared some insights about the various steps taken by Government of Odisha to foster the Startup Ecosystem.

This interactive session focused on feedbacks received from the startups to make the Startup Ecosystem more conducive. The insights were taken by Startup Odisha to make them more empowered and ensure that they become the next Futurecorns in coming years. Startups sought help primarily in Funding, Land Acquisition, Government Connect Programs, and Laboratories & Equipment Setup.

The event was attended by 48Startups and 6 incubators.

“Startup Odisha shall be taking all necessary measures to make Odisha as the next Startup Hub.,” says Executive Chairman Dr. Omkar Rai.

Dr Rai addressed the Startups about various new initiatives being taken by the StartupOdisha and how Government of Odisha has  been nurturing the innovations at all levels.

Recently, Odisha was awarded one of the Top Performers at States’ Startup Ranking 2021. With a driven agenda of becoming the Best Startup Hub in the nation by 2025, Startup Odisha has been working diligently to nurture the Startup Ecosystem in terms of funds, incentives, mentoring, marketing and outreach.
