Bhubaneswar: 22-year-old Baikuntha Sahoo, a resident of Jagatsinghpur, was working as a delivery boy for Swiggy in Bangalore. On 21st September he met with an accident while on duty and was severely injured. A few passersby reached for his help and informed his family. The family approached NRO advisor Sri Surendra Mohapatra, seeking his help to get their son treated at the earliest.
Upon getting the information Sri Mohapatra discussed the matter with Convener, Odisha-Mo Parivar and as advised he intimated it to Sri Pranab Pani, the SPOC (Odisha-Mo Parivar) at Bangalore.
Immediate steps were taken to rescue the patient and he was admitted to St John’s Medical college hospital. After his recovery, the family approached to bring him back to their native place and required logistical arrangements were made for the patient by Odisha-Mo Parivar.
Joint secretary Sri Rudra Narayan Samantaray and NRO advisor Sri Surendra Mohapatra received Baikuntha at the railway station and made further arrangements to shift him to his native place at Jagatsinghpur.
