The Inaugural Ceremony of India’s Civil 20 (#C20) working groups and their focus areas will be organized on Monday, 16th January,5 PM IST. The core committee members, and other renowned personalities from around the world will take part in the ceremony which will be held online.
The Government of India had appointed Mata Amritanandamayi Devi as the Chair of Civil 20 (C20), an official engagement group of the G20. The G20 members consist of 19 countries plus the European Union and C20 is its platform for civil-society organizations (#CSOs) to bring forth non-government and non-business voices to the G20 leaders.
Under the Indian Presidency of #G20 this year, C20 remains committed to advocating evidence-based policy recommendations for the role civil society organizations (#CSOs) play in establishing global economic growth that is inclusive, equitable, and sustainable. C20 will strive towards the realization of its motto – “You Are The Light.”
Union Minister for Information, broadcasting, Youth and Sports Anurag Thakur, Union Minister of State for External Affairs V Muraleedharan , Kerala Minister of Education and Labour V SivanKutty, will be present at the ceremony. Others to attend the ceremony include Shashi Tharoor MP Governor of Tamil Nadu, Sri.R N Ravi , Founder of Satsang Foundation Sri M, Vivekananda Kendra Vice President Nivedita R Bidhe, NITI AYOG former CEO Amitabh Kant, MP and Indian Council for Cultural Relations Vinay P Sahasrabuddhe, Former Special Adviser to UN Secretary General Vijay P Nambiar, Swadesh Singh of RambahuMhalgaiPrabodhini, Salesforce and Philanthropist CEO Marc Benioff, Entrepreneur and Philanthropist T Denny Sanford, Troika member from Indonesia AH Maftuchan and member of the International Advisory Committee C20 Indonesia Alessandra Nilo and General Legal Director of the Red Cross M Laurent Bessede.
