Adds highest mobile and fixed-line subscribers in Nov: TRAI Data
Bhubaneswar: Further consolidating its No. 1 position in Odisha, Reliance Jio added highest number of mobile subscribers as well as fixed-line subscribers in the month of November 2022, as per the latest telecom subscriber data published by Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI), today.
As per the subscriber data published by TRAI for the month of November 2022, Reliance Jio added highest 54194 mobile subscriber and highest nearly 6000 wireline or JioFiber subscribers in Odisha. With this Jio continues to consolidate its leadership position in Odisha with highest 1.38 crore mobile subscribers and highest 1.83 lakh fixed-line subscribers in the state, as on November 30, 2022. Odisha witnessed an overall increase of over 95500 mobile subscribers and 6167 wireline subscribers in the month of November.
Nationally, Jio also added highest over 14 lakh new mobile subscribers in the month of November, whereas it further consolidated its leadership position in wireline segment, as the largest wireline service provider on the country, adding over 2.1 lakh wireline subscribers, in November.
It is worth mentioning here that, Reliance Jio, the most preferred mobile service provider in Odisha with highest number of mobile subscribers, had become the No. 1 service provider in the wireline segment, dislodging BSNL from the position, in the month of October 2023. Jio has consolidated its leadership position in the home and enterprise broadband segment in Odisha with rapid expansion of JioFiber high-speed broadband services to over 37 cities and towns across the state.
