Indian Classical Music event Vrindaban Mahotsav on 8th March

Bhubaneshwar(Kalinga Voice):  This year the flagship Indian Classical Music event Vrindaban Mahotsav is to be held on 8th March, 2023 evening at Rabindra Mandap, Bhubaneswar. The concert is mutually presented by Odia Language, Literature & Culture Department, Government of Odisha by Vrindabal Gurukul with support of Odisha Sangeet Natak Academy.

           Shri Ranjan Kumar Das, Director & Special Secretary to Government, OLLC Department,Shri Prabodh Rath, Secretary,Odisha Sangeet Natak Academy and the famous Bansuri Guru Padma Vibhushan Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia as well as Founder President of Vrindaban Gurukul briefed the press about holding of this Mahotsav on 8th March,2023. The press meet was held at Gurukul campus, Kalinga Nagar inGhatikia,Bhubaneswar. There are two such Gurukuls – one in Mumbai and other in Bhubaneswar.

           Internationally acclaimed Maestros of Indian Classical Music fraternity Padma Vibhushan Ustad Amjad Ali Khan( Indian Classical Sarod Player), Padma Shree Malini Awasthi(Indian Classical Vocal), Shree Ojas Adhiya &Pandit Arvind Kumar Azad ( both Indian Classical Tablaist) and Vrindaban Gurukul Disciples (Indian Classical Flute) will perform in this musical event, in the presence of Padma Vibhushan Pt. Hariprasad Chaurasia. The Bhubaneswar city would turn up to witness all of them at one place – one show on the festive day of this Holi. Hon’ble Governor of Odisha and other dignitaries will grace the function on the occasion.

           “Vrindaban Mahotsav” is an Indian classical music concert initiated by      Vrindaban Gurukul started five years ago that aims to encourage music  learners and bring them   closer to the idea and lifestyle of legendary   musicians. It involves performances by legendary artists of Indian Classical      Music from all around the globe. The objective of this programme is to spreadmessage to all to love classical music. Student can lean music side by side focusing on their studies. SaidGuruji, addressing the press.

Among others Joint Director of OLLC Department Sri Subodh Chandra      Acharya and Secretary of Vrindaban Gurukul Shri Digvijaysinh Chouhan also were  present and participated in the discussion.

Vrindaban Gurukul is a living heritage of Indian music, art and culture,      established by Guruji Padma Vibhushan Pandit Chaurasia. It is an ethereal      environment for worshipers of music. Bansuri and vocal students from different parts of India and overseas come to surrender themselves to the traditional “Guru-Shishya Parampara”. This Gurukul under the personal guidance of Guruji provides free music education. The fund raised by the event will be used for leading up the upcoming generations in the field of Indian classical music,   especially“TheBansuri”.
