Andhra Pradesh Commissioner of School Education visits Odisha

Lauded state’s initiatives for providing quality education. 

Bhubaneswar (Kalinga Voice):On a two-day visit to the state capital, Sri S. Suresh Kumar, IAS, Commissioner of School Education, Andhra Pradesh visited Odisha and interacted with Ms Aswathy S., Commissioner-cum-Secretary, S&ME Department on educational reforms undertaken by the state government to enhance the quality of education. To comprehend more about alumni and community-led initiatives of the state education department, he paid a short visit to the state office of Mo School and interacted with the Mo School team. Sri Kumar appreciated the efforts of Mo School in bringing revolutionary changes in revamping the educational sector of Odisha.

During the visit, discussions were held on the reforms taken up in the state, including Foundational Literacy, improvement of school infra and digital education. 

The senior bureaucrat of Andhra Pradesh government applauded the efforts of the state-govt run initiative in implementing various programmes such as the Alumni Connect Programme, School Adoption Programme and High School Transformation Programme. He also expressed interest in exploring the state’s innovative practices and learning methods and commended the state’s efforts to promote skill development of students with the introduction of the Aspirational curriculum.

Sri Kumar also discussed the programme’s future plans and how it can be expanded to reach more schools across the state. Discourse were also held on the importance of the existing community-led approaches in ensuring the overall development of the school ambience. On the occasion, Chief Operating Officer, Mo School presented the recent editions of ‘Mo School Coffee Table Book’ to Sri Suresh Kumar.
