Assistance provided by Odisha-Mo Parivar
Bhubaneswar(Kalinga Voice): Damayanti Samal, a 47-year-old resident of Marsaghai, Kendrapada was appointed as a community resource person (CRP) at Mission Shakti. She was provided with an autorickshaw to pick up and drop off school students.
In the month of April, she met with an accident, where she suffered severe injuries and was admitted to Government Hospital Kendrapada for emergency treatment and was advised to be shifted to a private hospital for further treatment. The family approached MLA Smt. Sabitri Agarwalla seeking help for her treatment. The matter was intimated to Odisha-Mo Parivar through Sri Sanjay Agarwalla (MLA’s representative) and immediately necessary steps were taken to shift her to Bhubaneswar.
The patient received the required assistance throughout the course of her treatment under the BSKY scheme, where our helpdesk associate Rashmi Ranjan Pradhan coordinated the entire process, starting from the documentation process till her recovery and discharge. The required logistical arrangement was also made for her to return to her native place at Kendrapada. The family expressed their heartfelt gratitude for the much needed help during their difficult times.
