Hires Private Vehicle to Rush Accident Victims for Medical Aid Amidst Ambulance Shortage
Bargarh, Odisha: In a heartwarming display of compassion and quick thinking, Mr. Dibas Kumar Sahu, the Cluster Resource Centre Coordinator (CRCC) of Baitali Cluster under Jharbandh block in Bargarh district, went above and beyond to provide aid to three injured individuals involved in a recent accident.
On the evening of August 14th, Mr. Dibas Kumar Sahu was returning from a training session at DIET Bargarh when he came across a distressing scene near Kansingha Chowk. Despite the pouring rain and the late hour, Mr. Sahu sprang into action when he noticed three injured individuals in need of immediate assistance. His dedication to helping others proved to be a beacon of hope amidst the challenging circumstances.
Accompanied by his teacher friend, Mr. Ashish Padhan, and several locals who had also gathered at the scene, Mr. Sahu wasted no time in assessing the situation and providing much-needed help. Recognizing the urgency of the situation, he contacted an ambulance, though unfortunately, one was not readily available.
Undeterred by the lack of an ambulance, Mr. Sahu, in collaboration with Mr. Padhan, swiftly arranged for a private vehicle to transport the injured individuals to the nearby Sub Divisional Hospital in Padampur. Ensuring that no precious time was lost, Mr. Sahu personally covered the expenses for the private vehicle, demonstrating his commitment to the well-being of those in need.
The injured individuals were identified as Mr. Thakur Charan Sahu (60), Mr. Naveen Sahu (18), and Mr. Nilandri Shu (18). Thanks to Mr. Sahu’s timely intervention, the three victims received essential primary treatment within the critical golden hour, potentially minimizing the severity of their injuries and contributing to their chances of a full recovery.
Amid the chaos and concern, Mr. Sahu’s kindness extended even further. Observing the cold and discomfort of the elderly victim, Thakur Charan Sahu, who had become wet due to the rain, Mr. Sahu went above and beyond by purchasing a shawl to provide warmth and comfort.
