Bhubaneswar, Aug 16: The grounds of KISS were adorned with the tricolor as the students and teachers celebrated the 76th Independence Day, engaging in customary dances and cultural presentations.
Justice Sandeep Kumar, Judge of Patna High Court, hoisted the National flag in the presence of KIIT & KISS Founder Dr. Achyuta Samanta; R N Dash, Secretary of KIIT and KISS; Deepak Kumar Behera, Vice Chancellor of KISS DU; and Dr. Prasant Kumar Routray, CEO of KISS.
During his address to KISS students, Justice Kumar encouraged them to pursue diligent studies and contribute to the nation’s progress. Drawing from President of India Draupadi Murmu’s words, Dr. Samanta advised students that a quality education helps them grasp the essence of freedom.
Independence Day festivities also unfolded at KIIT Deemed University and KIIT International School. Dr. Mona Lisa Bal, Chairperson of KIIT International School, raised the National flag at the school, while in KIMS, Pro Vice Chancellor Dr. CBK Mohanty performed the flag hoisting honors.
