Paralakhemundi : Collector & District Magistrate, Gajapati Sri Smruti Ranjan Pradhan flaged off the exposure visit programme of 91nos of Parentless and Displaced families’ Children (Cheligada Irrigation Project) towards World Skill Centre and Skill Development Institution Bhubaneswar in two special busses. Out of 91nos of children, 51nos are parentless who are presently studying at Govt. Polytechnic College Gajapati and ITI Gumma & Rayagada and some are staying in Child Care Institutions.
The remaining 40nos of children are from distress families’ of Cheligada irrigation project. The 10nos of escort person are visiting with the above children under the leadership of District Employment Officer Sri Soubhagya Ranjan Tripathy for escorting and guiding the children.
Tomorrow i.e. on 21.08.2023, the above children will visit to World Skill Centre, Skill Development Institution Bhubaneswar and Central Institution of Petrochemicals Engineering and Technology (CIPET) Khurda for exposing their knowledge.
The Objective of this programme is to create interest towards enrolling in technical education and skill development among girl children. As a result more to more girl children will get opportunity for engagement in Industrial sector as well as they will self sufficient for livelihood.
