Threat call for Baijayant was not with malicious intention

Bhubaneswar : Phone call coveying a death threat to BJP National Vice President Sri Baijayant Panda was not with malicious intention, but out of frustration. The accused person confessed it after he was arrested by Delhi Police from Bengaluru. The office of sri Panda has clarified this by issuing the press release
“ A member of Sri Jay Panda’s team had received a phone call conveying a death threat to Shri Panda. A complaint had been registered with Delhi Police who investigated the matter. The police traced the call to a number in Bengaluru, after which they sent a team, arrested the said person and brought him to Delhi for questioning. During interrogation, the person admitted that he had made the call out of frustration and not out of any malicious intent. He has given a written confession with an apology and assurance to not repeat such actions. Based on this, our office has decided not to press charges and requested the Delhi Police to release him. we have also agreed to not divulge his name to prevent any possible harassment to him.” say Sri Jyoti Prakash Ghose, Political Secretary to Sri Panda, in a press release.
