Bhubaneswar (Kalinga Voice): The newly appointed Governor of Odisha Shri Raghubar Das took oath as the Governor of Odisha at Raj Bhavan, Bhubaneswar today. Acting Chief Justice of the High Court of Orissa Dr. Justice Bidyut Ranjan Sarangi administered the oath of office to Governor in the New Abhishek Hall of Raj Bhavan.
The Governor read his oath in Hindi. Chief Minister Shri Naveen Patnaik congratulated the Governor after the swearing in ceremony. State Chief Secretary Shri Pradeep Kumar Jena read out the Warrant of Appointment issued by Hon’ble President of India appointing Shri Rabghubar Das as the Governor of Odisha.
A Guard of Honour was presented by the Contingent of Commissionerate Police to the Governor soon after the oath taking ceremony. Chief Minister Shri Naveen Patnaik, Union Minister of Education, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Shri Dharmendra Pradhan, Speaker of Odisha Legislative Assembly Smt. Pramila Mallick, members of Council of Ministers, people’s representatives, Secretaries of Departments and invitees were present on the occasion.
