- Around a dozen ‘’Alumni Cell’’ has been created as of now.
Bhubaneswar(Kalinga Voice) : The Alumni Cell is a voluntary student body aims to work under the aegis of ‘Mo College Abhijan Parichalana Sangathan’. Alumni Cell, the single point of contact between Alumni and Institute, strives to bridge the gap between Institution and it’s esteemed alumni community. It also offers the alumni community a host of services that helps them keep in touch with their batch mates and also keep them updated on campus happenings. It will continuously endeavour to strengthen the relations of the alumni of the Institute and their alma mater. It can be instrumental in organising the Alumni Meets, Regional Student Alumni Meet, regular guest lectures by distinguished alumni in the campus, by providing other alumni with career resources, and it will also help alumni stay connected with their industry and connect with other alumnus.
The ‘’Alumni Cell’ primarily consists of 10 members. 05 volunteers from NSS (National Service Scheme) and 05 volunteers from RED CROSS will ensure on timely executing alumni meets. They will directly assist and help out ‘Mo College’ Coordinators to carry out different alumni events while making sure to strengthen alumni network overall. As of now around a dozen ‘’Alumni Cell’’ has been created in different Colleges across state and rapidly increasing. The pilot colleges are, Rajdhani College,Khordha, Maharishi women’s degree college, Khordha, Kamala Nehru degree college,Khordha, Deba ray degree college,Khordha, Fakir Mohan autonomous college,Balasore, Shailabala women’s autonomous college,Cuttack, Govt. women’s degree college Sundargarh, Balangi Degree mahavidyalaya, Sunahat, Balasore , Atal Bihari degree college Basudevpur, Bhadrak, Laxmikant Degree college Bangriposi, Mayurbhanj, Khunta Degree Mahavidyalaya, Khunta, Mayurbhanj and Patitapaban Degree Mahavidyalaya, Sainkul,Keonjhar.
‘’Alumni Cell’’ is a brilliant initiative of Odisha Govt. Through this, faculties, organization and alumni network will get along even better. This can fetch us far in terms of overall development of the institution.’’ says shri Pankaj Biswal, president of Alumni association, Balangi Degree Mahavidyalaya during alumni cell meeting. Another member shri Subash swain also stated ‘’Inspirations from past can lead us to future. Just like ’Mo School’, ‘Mo College’ is an absolute innovative step of Odisha Govt.’’ Likewise another ‘Alumni cell’ meeting held in Atal Bihari college of Bhadrak where more than 30members and about 20staff members were present. In coming days, more number of ‘Alumni Cells’ in different colleges will be created with a universal aim to organize different social activities such as blood donation camps, plantation drives, webinars/seminars, and inter-college sport competitions and many more under aegis of ‘’Mo College’’ which can turn revolutionary in terms of alumni & alma mater connections.
