WITH THE INITIATIVE OF RAILWAY MINISTER NEW PASSENGER HALT STATION SANCTIONED AT MANCHAPADA OF KHARAGPUR DIVISION
Bhubaneswar (Kalinga Voice): There has been a long pending demand of local residents for a new station at Manchapada in Rupsa-Bangriposi section of South Eastern Railway. Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw, Minister of Railways visited the area on 13th January, 2024 and assured them to fulfill the demand. Shri Vaishnaw with his special initiative got the sanction from Railway Board recently to construct a Halt station at Manchapada between Jugpura and Thakurtota stations of Rupsa-Bangriposi section in Kharagpur Division.
Indian Railways is upgrading the existing facilities and adding more passenger amenities regularly. In tune to that, The Minister of Railways has fulfilled his promise within two weeks of his visit to provide a New Station for the people of Manchapara and nearby villages in Mayurbhanj District, Odisha.
As a result, the local residents will be immensely benefitted. The New station will facilitate faster communication for the students, small traders, workers, daily passengers etc. They will be able to board trains conveniently from Manchapara Halt station to reach their destinations.
