51ST SHANTI SWARUP BHATNAGAR INDOOR FINAL TOURNAMENT-2024 CONCLUDED SUCCESSFULLY
Bhubaneswar: Prestigious 51st Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Indoor Final Tournament-2024, successfully concluded at CSIR-Institute of Minerals and Materials Technology (CSIR-IMMT).
Shri Mahendra Kumar Gupta, Joint Secretary(Admin),CSIR graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and Dr Debashish Dash, Director, Institute of Life Sciences, Bhubaneswar and Mr G Yadav, Chief Engineer, BSNL,as the Guest of Honor and distributed the awards to the winners.
Dr Ramanuj Narayana, Director, CSIR-IMMT,Dr Bankim Ch Tripathy, Organizing Secretary,SSBMT( Indore) Final -2024, Dr Neeraj Kumar, SPB Observer, Dr Bama Prasad Bag, SPB member, other Faculty members, students and staffs of CSIR-IMMT were present on this occasion.
Under the esteemed patronage of the CSIR-Sports Promotion Board, New Delhi, the event featured participation from almost all the CSIR scientific laboratories across the country. More than 200 participants, competed for the national championship, the tournament included a range of events such as bridge, chess, table tennis, badminton, and carrom board. For the first time more than 60 women participated for this tournament.
Match officials from various associations including the All-Odisha Chess Association, Odisha Bridge Association, Odisha State Carrom Association, Odisha State Badminton Association, and Odisha State Table Tennis Association coordinated for this tournament.
On behalf of the organising committee Sri Bankim Chandra Tripathi, Organizing Secretary, SSBMT (Indoor) Final – 2024 thanked all the participants, volunteers, staffs of CSIR IMMT for their active participation to make the event successful.
