Bhubaneswar: The JSW group is not withdrawing its proposed Rs 40,000 crore electric vehicle (EV) and battery manufacturing project from Odisha. The company’s announcement comes after a section of media reported that “JSW’s proposed EV and battery project in Odisha would be shifted to Maharastra”

In a press statement, Executive Vice President (corporate strategy) of JSW Steel Mr Ranjan Nayak said, “JSW group is not withdrawing its proposed Rs 40,000 crore electric vehicle (EV) and battery manufacturing project from Odisha.”.

Last February, JSW signed a MOU with the Odisha Government during the tenure of the then Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik to set up its EV industry in Cuttack and Paradip with an investment of Rs 40,000 crore
