Vedanta Aluminium Promotes Health Awareness in Sunarimunda and Brundamal Villages in Jharsuguda
Jharsuguda, Odisha;9thOctober 2024,Vedanta Aluminium, India’s largest producer of aluminium,in partnership with the District Health Department, Jharsuguda, organized a health awareness session, followed by a rally, in the villages of Sunarimunda and Brundamal, reaching out to over 200 local residents. This initiative reflects Vedanta Aluminium’s ongoing commitment to improving the health and well-being of the communities surrounding its operations.
The event featured discussions from key health professionals, including Ms. Labanga Bag, Sarpanch, Badmal, Dr Sandeep from Apollo Hospital, Jharsuguda, and Dr. Jayanarayan Pujari, Doctor at Vedanta’s Mobile Health Unit. The session covered essential topics such as heart health, lifestyle-related diseases, and adopting healthier habits. Participants were educated on risks such as poor diet, physical inactivity, smoking, and alcohol consumption, while also receiving practical advice on maintaining a balanced diet, regular exercise, and the importance of routine health check-ups.
Pamphlets and health leaflets approved by the District Health Headquarters were distributed to reinforce the key messages. The session concluded with an interactive session, where attendees gained further insights into government’s health schemesand were able to clear misconceptions about common health practices.
