Bhubaneswar, 23rd Oct 2024: DWOs of 14 districts are instructed to ensure safety of boarders of all residential schools and hostels including the hostels attached to the schools of S&ME Department in view of possible cyclone situation.
All schools shall remain closed from October 23 to 25, but the hostels will remain fully functional. ADWOs, WEOs, Engineers of ITDAs, Headmasters, Asst. Hostel Superintendents, Teachers, Matrons, Cook cum Attendants, ANMs should remain present in the HQs and ensure safety and security of the boarder students staying in the SSD hostels attached to the SSD and S&ME Department schools including Anwesha Hostels.
The headmasters or Asst Hostel Superintendents should be directed to immediately ensure sufficient stock of food grains, vegetables, and other food stuff in all hostels. Adequate provision for supply and storage of drinking water should be ensured. Along with this, to ensure other related arrangements, the DWOs have been informed by letter from the SSD department.
