Dalmia Cement Hosts NIT Rourkela Students to Experience Industry-Leading Innovation at its Rajgangpur Unit
Rajgangpur, January 16, 2025:Dalmia Cement (Bharat) Ltd. (DCBL), a leading name in India’s cement sector, hosted 40 students from the National Institute of Technology (NIT), Rourkela for an industry exposure visit at itsstate-of-the-art integrated cement unit in Rajgangpur, Odisha. The event, organized in collaboration with the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), aimed to connect academic knowledge with real-world industry practices, offering students insights into advanced cement manufacturing.Led by Mr. Ashish Kumar Kanar, Scientist-D and Joint Director at BIS, the program also provided valuable insights into the application of BIS standards in real-world industrial operations.
A key highlight was the tour of the plant, renowned for its advanced manufacturing processes, sustainability initiatives, and adherence to the highest quality standards, as recognized by BIS in December 2023 for achieving ZERO failures in product samples tested since April 2021. The plant has also maintained an impeccable record with no complaints on product quality over the last three years and reflects Dalmia Cement’s close collaboration with BIS to align with evolving standards and market requirements.
