Bardwi Shikla Ladies Club Donates 123 Umbrellas to Students of Chedamari LP School

Bongaigaon: In a thoughtful gesture aimed at supporting children during the monsoon season, Bardwi Shikla Ladies Club as a part of Corporate Social Responsibility donated 123 umbrellas to all the students of Chedamari LP School, under Kalipukhuri Village Council Development Committee (VCDC), Kokrajhar.The donation was led by Smt. Kasturi Maitra, President of Bardwi Shikla Ladies Club, who personally handed over the umbrellas to the young students. Speaking on the occasion, she emphasized the importance of ensuring that children have the basic amenities needed to attend school regularly and comfortably, especially during the upcoming rainy season. She expressed the club’s continued commitment to community welfare and child-friendly initiatives.

Smt. Soumya Kar, Vice President of the Club, also interacted warmly with the children and highlighted the need for such interventions in rural schools. She encouraged the students to continue their education with dedication and assured them of the club’s support in future as well.

Shri Krishno Kanta Das, Principal of Chedamari LP School, extended heartfelt gratitude to the Bardwi Shikla Ladies Club for their timely and practical donation. He remarked that the umbrellas will be of immense help to the students, most of whom walk to school daily, often in challenging weather conditions.Representatives from NTPC Bongaigaon HR department and members of the Ladies Club were also present during the distribution event, which saw enthusiastic participation from the students and the school staff.
