Rayagada, 14th June: Utkal Alumina International Ltd(UAIL), a unit of Hindalco Industries under the Aditya Birla Group, organized a multi-specialty health camp at Chandragiri Gram Panchayat headquarters under the Kashipur block of Rayagada district. The initiative was part of the company’s continued commitment to community health and welfare.
The health camp was held in the remote Chandragiri area, located approximately 7 km from the Baphlimali mining site.

It was inaugurated in the presence of local Sarpanch Sadei Majhi, Mines Head Vijay Chauhan, Mines CSR Head Manoj Das, Naib Sarpanch Shankar Nayak, and volunteers from the Punar Utthan.
A total of 572 beneficiaries from 31 villages received free health checkups and medical consultations by specialist doctors. The services included diagnostics and consultations in ophthalmology, gynaecology, dermatology, and general medicine. Post-consultation, free medicines were distributed as per prescriptions.

The camp was well-accepted by the residents, who expressed gratitude to UAIL for bringing quality healthcare services to their doorstep. The initiative is a commitment of UAIL to fulfilling its social responsibilities and ensuring healthcare access in remote and underserved regions.

The CSR department of Utkal Alumina continues to play a pivotal role in community development, and such healthcare initiatives are being widely appreciated by the villagers living in and around the mining area.
