Odisha Mandap Exemplifies State’s Heritage & Transformation: Dy CM

New Delhi: Odisha’s rich cultural legacy, dynamic trade potential, and enduring heritage are making a commanding impression at the 44th India International Trade Fair (IITF) 2025 in New Delhi, drawing widespread admiration from visitors across India and abroad.

The Deputy Chief Minister of Odisha Shri Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo appreciated the diverse representations of the State’s developmental transformation across key sectors while visiting the Odisha Pavilion on Monday.

Shri Singh Deo applauded the pavilion’s captivating design, thematic storytelling and well-curated ambience. He underscored that handloom, handicrafts and tribal products reflect cultural richness and craftsmanship excellence of the state.

“The pavilion offers visitors a comprehensive glimpse of Odisha’s ancient art, culture, heritage, and its modern developmental achievements. I am confident that the Odisha Pavilion will once again receive recognition,” said Shri Singh Deo. He further expressed satisfaction over the increasing demand for millet-based food (Shri Anna) and traditional organic offerings.

IITF, which will continue till November 27, has been designed around the theme “Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat.” Odisha Pavilion—located in Hall No. 4, first floor of Bharat Mandapam, was inaugurated by Deputy Chief Minister Smt. Pravati Parida on November 14. This year, the pavilion features striking designs in the form of impressive replicas of Singha Dwara at Puri Srimandir, and Boita Dwara, serving as its two gates, symbolising Odisha’s cultural identity and trade legacy.

A total of 28 thematic stalls representing various government departments and partner organisations—from handloom, handicrafts, ORMAS rural products to WSHG-made items are representing Odisha at the mega trade fair. Live demonstrations by skilled artisans displaying works of Pattachitra, Tarakasi, Sabai grass craft, and Lac work continue to attract large footfall.

Similarly, Odisha’s signature delicacies, including Rasgola, Chhena Poda and indigenous organic foods, have drawn widespread appreciation at the event.
