Closing Ceremony of 5th Audit Week Held at Jaydev Bhawan

Bhubaneswar, 28 November 2025: The closing ceremony of the 5th Audit Week was held with grandeur at Jaydev Bhawan, Bhubaneswar on Friday. Hon’ble Governor was chief guest and Principal Accountant Genersl D. Sahu, Subu. R and Accountant General Atul prakash were present.Hon’ble Governor Dr. Hari Babu Kambhampati graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and addressed the gathering.
The programme commenced with the National Anthem, followed by a welcome address by Shri D. Sahu, Principal Accountant General, who highlighted the various outreach and awareness activities organized throughout the week-long celebration to strengthen transparency and public interaction.


In his keynote address, Hon’ble Governor Dr. Kambhampati praised the more than 150-year legacy of the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) of India in upholding financial discipline and ensuring public accountability. He emphasized the importance of adopting modern technology and digital tools to keep pace with the evolving administrative environment. The Governor also stressed the need for strong coordination between Audit Offices and executive departments to enhance efficiency in governance.
The event concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Shri Subu R., Principal Accountant General, who assured the Governor that the Indian Audit and Accounts Department will continue striving for excellence in the coming years.


As part of the ceremony, several officials from the Accountant General’s Offices were felicitated for their outstanding contributions in the fields of Audit and Accounts.
The programme was efficiently conducted and stage-managed by Ms. Pratima Pradhan, Deputy Accountant General (DAG).
The ceremony marked a memorable conclusion to the 5th Audit Week, celebrating commitment to transparency, accountability and innovation in public auditing.
