Kashipur: The 77th Republic Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm by Utkal Alumina International Ltd, a subsidiary of Hindalco Industries under the Aditya Birla Group. The programme was organized at the Helipad Ground in Nuapada, where the Chief Guest and Unit Head, Mr. Rabi Narayan Mishra, graced the occasion.
On this occasion, Mr. Mishra unfurled the flag and participated in the singing of the National Anthem. Subsequently, he inspected the parade presented by the security personnel deployed at the plant, including SIS, SSTF, SISCO, CISF along with ladies contingents prade accepted the ceremonial salute.
Addressing the gathering, Mr. Mishra paid tribute to the freedom fighters and highlighted the vision and objectives of the framers of the Constitution, emphasizing the values and significance of the Constitution in a democratic nation. He also stressed the responsibility of individuals towards building a greener planet and underlined the importance of environmental protection in his address.
This was followed by patriotic cultural performances by students of Aditya Birla Public School. A cultural programme was also presented by a dance troupe from the nearby Tikarapada village.
In the next segment, the longest-serving employees of the plant Mr. Lalit Mishra, Mr. Yudhishthir Behera, and Mr. Akshay Pillai were felicitated for their service. On this occasion, all FH, DH and employees of UAIL along with their family members were present.
