SOA ORGANISES 5-DAY ‘MATH TALKS’ LECTURE SERIES

Bhubaneswar, Feb. 14: ‘Math Talks’, a five-day online lecture series on Supply Chain Management and Optimization aimed at equipping participants with a robust mathematical understanding of the subjects, concluded at the Institute of Technical Education and Research (ITER), faculty of engineering and technology of the SOA Deemed to be University here, on Saturday.

            The event, organised by the Department of Mathematics at ITER, highlighted the vital role of supply chain optimization in solving modern industrial and interdisciplinary challenges.

The lecture series was            inaugurated on Tuesday by Prof. Pradipta Kumar Nanda, Vice-Chancellor of SOA, and Prof. Akshay Kumar Ojha of IIT Bhubaneswar who was the chief guest. Prof. Pradeep Kumar Sahoo, Dean of ITER, was also present. Prof. Milu Acharya of Department of Mathematics delivered the welcome address.

            The different sessions were led by Prof. Ojha, Dr. Sachin Kumar Mangla from FORE School of Management, New Delhi and Dr. Jitendra Kaushik from Symbiosis Institute of Health Sciences, Pune. A keynote address by Dr. Rashmi Ranjan Panigrahi of XIM University, Bhubaneswar, concluded the program.

Throughout the week, the lecture series featured an impressive line-up of keynote speakers who provided deep insights into both theoretical and practical applications.

Continuous support and encouragement of Prof. Manojranjan Nayak, Founder President of Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan, and Prof. Manas Kumar Mallick, Director, ITER, contributed to the success of ‘Math Talks’. The organizing committee for the event was led by the Organizing Chair and Head of the Department of Mathematics, Prof. Sunita Chand, alongside Convenor Dr. Pulak Swain and Co-Convenor Dr. Abhilipsa Panda. In a grand collaborative effort, the entire faculty of the Department of Mathematics served as the organizing committee ensuring the seamless execution of the week’s intensive technical sessions.
