Bhubaneswar: An enthusiastic atmosphere was witnessed today at the Nyaya Sanhita Exhibition, organized by the Odisha Police at the IDCO Exhibition Ground in Bhubaneswar. People from various sections of society visited the exhibition to learn about and gain awareness regarding India’s new criminal laws.
Today, a large number of students, conscious citizens, intellectuals, office bearers of the Auto Rickshaw Drivers’ Association, and members of voluntary organizations visited the exhibition. Through various digital displays, informative panels, and explanatory exhibits, they were briefed in detail about the new Indian criminal laws—the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), and Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam (BSA).
Furthermore, the entire justice system, “From Crime Scene to High Court,” has been displayed in an integrated and educational manner. In 10 stalls approved by the Ministry of Home Affairs, the general public is being informed about:
Crime scene investigation procedures.
112 Emergency Response Support System.
Police station functioning and hospital coordination.
Forensic laboratory processes and public prosecution.
The working styles of District Courts, Prisons, and the High Court.
Additionally, the exhibition showcases special plans for implementing the new laws, police modernization and empowerment, prevention of crimes against women, the role of the Special Operations Group (SOG) in combating Maoism, and the contribution of the Odisha Disaster Rapid Action Force (ODRAF) during natural calamities.
It is noteworthy that the primary objective of this exhibition is to sensitize the public about the country’s new criminal laws and inform them about a digital and justice-centric criminal justice system. Visitors are learning about the key features of the new laws, as well as the police’s modern technology-based investigation methods and procedures.
The exhibition will continue until the 10th of the month. Odisha Police invites more people to visit in the coming days to learn about the new legal framework.
“The Nyaya Sanhita Exhibition is a reflection of Odisha Police’s commitment to creating awareness among the public regarding the historic transformation of India’s criminal justice system. Odisha Police is determined to ensure timely justice for victims through scientific investigation, modern technology, and citizen participation.”
