Jharsuguda, April 10: A fire safety awareness program along with a mock drill was successfully conducted at Panchpada Government High School under the CSR initiative of Vedanta Alumina Plant, Jharsuguda.
During the session, Fire Safety In-charge Anshuman Patidar and Fire Officer Satyanarayan Mishra educated students about the causes of fire, different types of fire, and essential safety measures to follow during emergency situations.
Further, fire safety personnel Bulu Pera and Shiv Kumar Mallik demonstrated practical fire extinguishing techniques through a mock drill, which generated keen interest among the students.
More than 200 students participated in the program. The event was attended by Headmistress Purnamita Naik, along with teachers Alok Patel, Kush Bhue, sports teacher Pankajini Patel, and teaching staff including Sunanda Choudhury, Jayanti Nath, Binita Pradhan, Sangita Kerketta, Snehalata Naik, Phaguni Naik, and Pramita Patel.
The mock drill helped students gain practical knowledge about fire safety and preparedness, enhancing their confidence to respond effectively during emergencies.
