Bhubaneswar, April 10: The SOA Deemed to be University on Thursday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the ICAR-National Research Centre on Yak (ICAR-NRCY), Dirang, for joint research in the field of animal husbandry.
The ICAR-NRCY is a premier research institute proactively engaged in research and development on Yak which was established at Dirang in West Kameng district of Arunachal Pradesh in 1989.
Prof. Pradipta Kumar Nanda, Vice-Chancellor of SOA and Dr. Dinamani Medhi, Senior Scientist of ICAR-NRCY signed the MoU. Prof. Sushanta Kumar Das, Dean of the Institute of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry, faculty of veterinary sciences of SOA, Dr. Ashok Kumar Barik, professor in the institute and others were present during the signing of the agreement.
