Cancellation of NEET UG-2026 Examination:Government is Pushing the Future of Students into Darkness: BJD
“Union Education Minister Shri Dharmendra Pradhan remains constantly engaged in party activities while neglecting the responsibilities of his Ministry. Since the Union Education Minister’s mind remains in Odisha while his body is in Delhi, NEET examination paper leaks are happening repeatedly.”
- Cancellation of NEET Examination Four Times in the Last 6 Years is Unfortunate
- Union Education Minister Should Resign on Moral Grounds
- Government Should Not Play with the Future of Students
Bhubaneswar, 12/05/2026:Under the BJP Government, examination cancellations due to paper leaks have become a routine occurrence. The Bharatiya Janata Party, which came to power promising the dream of “New India,” is now creating an identity of “Leak India.” The Biju Janata Dal has strongly criticized the Government, stating that the cancellation of the NEET examination four times within the last six years is extremely unfortunate.
Addressing a press conference held today at ShankhaBhavan, President of Biju Yuva Janata Dal Shri ChinmayaSahu and President of Biju Chhatra Janata Dal IpsitaSahu stated that the Central Government has played with the future of 22 lakh students. They said that this Government is incapable of understanding the hard work and dedication of an examinee. The repeated incidents of NEET paper leaks four times have exposed the incompetence of the Government.
Shri ChinmayaSahu stated that the NEET examination paper leak incident clearly shows that the country’s education system is no longer under the control of the Central Government. He alleged that Union Education Minister Shri Dharmendra Pradhan remains constantly engaged in party activities while neglecting the responsibilities of his Ministry. Since the Union Education Minister’s mind remains in Odisha while his body is in Delhi, NEET examination paper leaks are happening repeatedly. Shri Sahu questioned why Shri Pradhan is able to efficiently manage election campaigns but unable to properly discharge the responsibilities of his own Ministry. If he is unable to fulfill his ministerial responsibilities, he should immediately resign on moral grounds.
IpsitaSahu stated that just as the Union Education Minister is, similarly his “disciple” in the State, Education Minister SurajSuryabanshi, is no different. She alleged that due to 23 paper leak incidents within the last 23 months in the State, the State Government is playing with the future of meritorious students. While students stay awake through sleepless nights preparing for examinations and waiting for their results, BJP leaders who are playing with their fate are unable to understand their pain and suffering. Therefore, repeated incidents like paper leaks are being witnessed both in the State and across the country.
