JHARSUGUDA YUVA SANGHA AND CHHATRA SANGHA CONDUCT SUCCESSFUL PLANTATION DRIVE NEAR L.N. COLLEGE JHARSUGUDA,
ODISHA — JULY 25, 2026 — A plantation program was successfully organized near Laxmi Narayan (L.N.) College, Jharsuguda, today, aimed at advancing environmental conservation and rapidly increasing green cover in the region.
The eco-friendly initiative was carried out by the active members of the Jharsuguda Chhatra Sangha under the direct guidance and direction of the Jharsuguda Yuva Sangh President, Shri Purushottam Mohanty. Commenting on the drive, Shri Purushottam Mohanty, President of Jharsuguda Yuva Sangha, stated: ” Protecting our environment is a collective responsibility, and the youth must lead this change from the front. This plantation drive is not just about putting saplings into the ground, but about cultivating a sustainable mindset among the younger generation. We are incredibly proud of our students for taking ownership of their local ecosystem.” .
The student-led event was executed smoothly under the leadership of Jushit Banchor (President, L.N. College Chhatra Sangh), who successfully mobilized the student community to actively plant native saplings along adjacent roadsides.
During the event, participants emphasized the critical need for youth and student participation in combating climate change and protecting the local ecosystem.
The Jharsuguda Yuva Sangha and Chhatra Sangha expressed their deep gratitude to the local volunteers and student leaders, including Ayush Patnaik, Piyush Saraf, Akash Karta, and Prabhat, whose dedicated efforts contributed to making this green initiative a massive success.
The organizations announced plans to conduct similar environmental drives across Jharsuguda in the coming months.
