Berhampur: TP Southern Odisha Distribution Limited (TPSODL) celebrated the 80th Independence Day with great enthusiasm and patriotic spirit at its Corporate Office and across all circle and division offices in Southern Odisha.
At the Corporate Office, TPSODL CEO Mr. Amit Kumar Garg hoisted the National Flag in the presence of senior leaders and employees. The celebrations began with the singing of the National Song Vande Mataram, followed by the National Anthem.
The programme also featured cultural performances by school children, adding colour and joy to the Independence Day celebrations.
As part of the programme, TPSODL felicitated consumers who have adopted rooftop solar systems under the PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana. Employees who made significant contributions towards promoting and implementing the rooftop solar initiative were also recognised for their efforts.
TPSODL also felicitated the wards of employees who secured more than 90% marks in their board examinatios . The initiative recognised their academic achievement and encouraging them to continue pursuing excellence.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Amit Kumar Garg, CEO, TPSODL, said, “As we move towards the vision of Viksit Bharat, we must adopt new technologies and focus on innovation. The responsibility of development does not belong only to the Government; every individual has a role to play. Electricity is not just a facility; it is a support that enables families and communities to grow. The celebrations across TPSODL offices reflected the organisation’s commitment to the nation, its consumers, employees and the communities it serves.
