Bhubaneswar, August 16, 2026: The Rotary Club of Bhubaneswar Meadows organised the fifth edition of its flagship inter-school art competition, Rangatulee-2026, at the Rail Auditorium, Chandrasekharpur, with participation from more than 500 students representing over 100 schools across Bhubaneswar.
The competition brought together students from Classes V to X and was conducted in two categories. Students of Classes V to VII participated on the theme “Say No to Plastic Pollution”, while students of Classes VIII to X explored “Digital India – My Smart Village.”
The inaugural ceremony was attended by Smt. Aparajita Sarangi, Hon’ble Member of Parliament, Bhubaneswar, as the Chief Guest, while Rtn. Anil Kumar Samal, IAS (Retd.), District Governor, Rotary International District 3262, was present as the Special Guest.
The young participants showcased their imagination and artistic talent through colourful artworks highlighting environmental responsibility, digital transformation and their vision for a better future. The themes encouraged the students to understand contemporary issues and communicate their ideas creatively through art.

Cash prizes totalling ₹1 lakh, along with certificates and mementos, were presented to the winners. Apart from the first, second and third prizes in each group, ten consolation prizes were also awarded in each group to recognise the creativity and efforts of the participating students.
Speaking on the occasion, Rtn. Bikash Garabadu, President, Rotary Club of Bhubaneswar Meadows, said that Rangatulee was not merely an art competition but an initiative to encourage young minds to think, imagine and express themselves.
“Rangatulee provides children with a platform where art becomes a medium for awareness, imagination and positive change. The overwhelming participation and remarkable creativity displayed by the students demonstrate the immense potential of our young generation,” he said.
Club Secretary Rtn. Deepak Jena and PP Santosh Senapati, Project Chair, Rangatulee-2026, expressed their gratitude to the participating schools, students, parents, teachers, sponsors, partners, Rotaractors, volunteers and Rotarians for their support in making the event a success. President-Elect Rtn. Priyabrata Mohanty delivered the vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all the dignitaries, participants and stakeholders who contributed to the successful conduct of the event.
The organisers said Rangatulee reflects the Rotary Club of Bhubaneswar Meadows’ commitment to education, youth development and community service. The initiative aims to go beyond competition by encouraging children to observe the world around them, understand social and environmental issues and express their ideas through creativity.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, teachers, parents and guests. The successful execution of the fifth edition was supportePrd by the Rangatulee core team, Rotary members, Rotaractors and volunteers.
