Bhubaneswar, 19/09/2026 – The Shri Guru Bhagwat program was organized by Shri Guru Bhagwat Toongi, Gopalpur, on the premises of three major prisons in Odisha, with the permission of the Director General of Prisons, Odisha, and with the blessings and inspiration of Pujya Guruji Dr. Chandrabhanu Satapathy, who authored the world-famous religious poetic literature, Shri Guru Bhagwat, which is revolutionary, awakens and elevates human consciousness, and has been translated and published in 25 regional languages, including Odia. For this, the cooperation of Mr. Sarbeswar Sahu, Superintendent of Jharpada Jail on July 12, Mr. Sujit Kumar Raul, Superintendent of Choudwar Jail on July 14, and Ms. Smita Mohanty, Superintendent of Biju Patnaik Open Air Ashram, Jamujhari on July 18, is commendable. In this program, the Guru principle contained in Shri Guru Bhagwat and how one can achieve the purpose of human birth by experiencing and emulating it through one’s actions, dharma, and thoughts were particularly explained. Easy and simple ways were provided to manifest the divine godly power within oneself. Examples were presented of how Shri Guru Bhagwat, as a bodiless Guru, guides the soul and mind of man and clears the path to liberation.The importance and superiority of Guru Puja, how one can atone for and repent for one’s actions, and the role of Sadguru in this were also discussed. It was also discussed how one should erase the memories of the past from one’s mind, purify the mind, and make oneself worthy of receiving the Guru’s grace. How one can live peacefully through one’s own spiritual power was also discussed. The participation of the inmates of three jails, the exchange of feelings, and the question-and-answer session on the Guru principle with them were particularly engaging. We are all prisoners. It was discussed that the bondage of the six enemies and eight nooses is the most harmful. In each program, the welcome speech by Renuprava Nayak, a member of Tungi and Additional Secretary, and the recitation of mantras by the members, along with the Guru Paduka Stotra, some bhajans, and the chanting of the Maha Mantra filled the entire prison environment with spirituality.
