Bhubaneswar, Oct 2: A 40-member delegation of teachers from Bhutan, who are on a seven-day visit to KIIT and KISS under the Cambridge Education Academic Immersion Programme, today paid a courtesy visit and interacted with Dr. Achyuta Samanta, Founder, KIIT and KISS.

The delegation from the Department of School Education under Bhutan’s Ministry of Education and Skills Development is currently staying at KIIT as part of the ‘India Trek’ programme. During the interaction, the delegates praised Dr. Samanta’s contribution to the field of education and his efforts towards social development.

Speaking on the occasion, members of the Bhutanese delegation said Dr. Achyuta Samanta is among those who have devoted their lives to education and social service.

They observed that KISS is not merely an educational institution, but a social movement that has transformed the lives of thousands of tribal children. They described KISS as a beacon of hope for tribal students.

The delegates said they were particularly inspired by Dr. Samanta’s philosophy of ‘The Art of Giving’ and his approach to education and social service.

Welcoming the delegation, Dr. Samanta said that whatever has been achieved so far has been possible because of love and compassion. “If you can share love with others, you can find peace in life,” he said.

As part of their visit, KIIT has also arranged for the Bhutanese delegation to explore Odisha’s rich art, literature, architecture and history. The delegates will visit the historic sites of Khandagiri and Udayagiri, as well as the Konark Sun Temple to gain a deeper understanding of the state’s cultural and historical heritage.
