•Special Seva Setu Camp at Tangi-Choudwar block witnesses’ participation from public representatives, REC and TPCODL leadership
Bhubaneswar, October 6, 2026: TP Central Odisha Distribution Limited (TPCODL) is taking rooftop solar awareness closer to consumers through Seva Setu Camps across 9 operational districts under the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan, aimed at accelerating adoption of the PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana.
On 6th October, Seva Setu Camps were conducted across Kataka district, with a special event held at Tangi-Choudwar block, inaugurated by Shri Debashish Samantaray, Hon’ble Rajya Sabha MP in presence of Shri Arindam Roy, Renowned actor and political leader, Smt. N. N. Rajalaxmi Ojha, BDO, Tangi – Choudwar, senior leadership team from REC India and TPCODL and other senior political leaders.
Launched on September 17 and continuing till October 17, the Seva Setu Abhiyan is being conducted at the block level across urban and rural areas. With more than 77,000 rooftop solar installations already across TPCODL’s operational area, the initiative aims to further accelerate adoption by making information, guidance and application support easily accessible to consumers.
Through the camps, consumers can avail on-the-spot registration support, access information regarding PM Surya Ghar : Muft Bijli Yojana subsidy benefits, explore bank loans and financing options and receive assistance with vendor selection. By bringing these services directly to communities, the initiative aims to address consumer queries, simplify the adoption process and facilitate more rooftop solar installations.
Speaking on the initiative, Shri Gajanan S. Kale, Chief – Odisha Distribution Business & CEO, TPCODL, said: “With more than 77,000 rooftop solar installations across our operational area, the momentum for clean energy adoption is growing. Through Seva Setu Camps, we are taking awareness, guidance and application support directly to communities, making rooftop solar simpler and more accessible for eligible households. We hope to encourage more consumers to participate in Odisha’s clean energy transition.”
