Bhubaneswar, Oct 8: KIIT IAS Academy (KIASA), an initiative aimed at providing quality guidance and mentorship to public service aspirants, was launched at KIIT-DU today by the Founder of KIIT & KISS Dr Achyuta Samanta.

Inaugurating the academy, Dr Samanta said the academy had been established to provide aspirants with access to quality guidance and preparation facilities for the civil services examination.

KIASA aims to create a dedicated ecosystem for nurturing and mentoring young aspirants from the KIIT and KISS family who aspire to join the Civil Services. It was a dream project of Dr. Samanta.

Dr Samanta said civil services preparation had traditionally required students to travel to out of Odisha for quality guidance. With the launch of KIASA, aspirants would now have access to such facilities closer to home.

IG of CISF, Shiv Kumar Mohanka described the initiative as an outstanding effort, observing that universities generally provide certification of skills, while an initiative like KIASA goes beyond conventional education by preparing young people to serve the nation.

Director, KSPP and HoD-KIASA, Bimbadhar Pradhan said the academy represented the realisation of an aspiration to create an institutional platform for civil service preparation in the region. He said KIIT had consistently demonstrated the power of visionary leadership and compassion by creating an ecosystem that empowers the most deprived sections of society.

Mr. Chandra Shekhar Yadav, Director, TICS Eduworld LLP, also addressed the gathering. KIIT has partnered with TICS Eduworld LLP as part of the initiative.

KIIT Pro Vice-Chancellor Prof Debashis Bandyopadhyay, University VC Prof. Saranjit Singh and Pro-VC-cum-Registrar Prof Jnyana Ranjan Mohanty also addressed the students.
