Student Leaders Cite Dipali Das and Bishal Das’s Spirit of Service as a Source of Inspiration

Jharsuguda, October 10: The Biju Janata Dal (BJD) felicitated its student wing candidates who emerged victorious in the recent college student union elections at the party office in Sarbahal, Jharsuguda, on Saturday. The felicitation programme was organised by the Biju Chhatra Janata Dal, along with the youth wing, to congratulate the newly elected student representatives.

On the occasion, Dipali Das, BJD state general secretary and former Jharsuguda MLA, said the victory of the candidates was a victory for the Biju Janata Dal. She described the electoral success as the first step towards raising students’ issues, rights and demands more effectively under the leadership of Naveen Patnaik.

Among those felicitated were M.D. Nasir Hussain, elected president of L.N. College; Jyotirmayee Sahu, joint secretary; Rituraj Pradhan, sports secretary; and Madhusmita Kisan, drama secretary.

From P.K.S.S. College at H. Kantapali, Manish Sahu, vice-president; Khusil Rohidas, general secretary; and Sheetal Bhoi, cultural secretary, were also felicitated. The elected representatives were presented with party scarves as a mark of recognition and encouragement.

Youth BJD district president Rubin Pandey and Biju Chhatra Janata Dal district president Shibashish Pattnaik attended the programme and congratulated all the successful candidates.

Student leaders said the leadership of Dipali Das and Bishal Das, along with their commitment to serving the people of Jharsuguda, had inspired the student community and contributed to the party’s success in the college elections.

The newly elected representatives expressed their commitment to continuing their efforts for the development of colleges, resolution of students’ problems and protection of student rights in the coming days.
