Bhubaneswar, 18/10/2026: The Biju Janata Dal (BJD) has strongly condemned the alleged circulation of AI-generated deepfake videos and voice-cloned content targeting senior woman leader Smt. Sujata Rout Karthikeyan. The party lodged a formal police complaint at Capital Police Station, Bhubaneswar, demanding an FIR, a thorough investigation and strict legal action against those responsible.
The complaint, submitted by Ms. Amrita Mishra, sought action against the unknown operators of the social media account “Odianka Chhata” on Instagram and Facebook.
