Bhubaneswar (Kalinga Voice) : Regional Executive Director at NTPC Limited Shri Sunil Kumar Satya has been conferred with ‘Greentech Leading Director Award 2021’.This distinguished award has been conferred on him based on his initiatives and achievements. Leading Director Award recognizes the role of innovative and forward-thinking organisations that have been actively involved in overall impactful growth, excellence and innovation by applying the highest standards as a matter of practice and policy.
Shri Satya roped in his vast experience of environment protection and management along with optimized usage of natural resources “To provide cleaner energy by committing to highest possible levels of performance in environmental compliance, practices and stewardship”. Installation of Flue gas desulfurization (FGD) and implementation of appropriate technology for NOx emission control to comply with revised emission norms and massive aforestation programs covering vast tracts of land in and around its projects in a concerted bid to counter the growing ecological threat were his key area of focus.
His utmost priority to implement safety at work place was key to success. Not only he ensured the highest level of safety systems implementation, but also worked on inculcating behavioral change in peoples towards safety.
Some other major highlights under Shri Satya’s leadership include the commissioning of 2×800 Mega Watt supercritical unit of Eastern Region, setting up of the state of the art Medical College and Hospital at tribal district of Sundargarhand several other achievements.
Shri Sunil Kumar Satya currently holds the charge as Regional Executive Director, Eastern Region – II of NTPC Ltd and was formerly holding the position of Executive Director atNTPC (Darlipali Super Thermal Power Project).
Shri Satya carries enormous experience of 34 Years in NTPC since his joining on 28th Aug 1987 as Executive Trainee. From working in various NTPC Projects such as NTPC Solapur, NTPC Dadri Thermal, Dadri Gas, NTPC Auraiya. Shri Satya has vastly contributed to various sections of Power Projects.
