Bhubaneswar (Kalinga Voice) : Steel Magnate, the world’s largest steel producer L.N. Mittal, met Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Pattanaik to discuss the proposed steel project in Kendrapara. On Saturday evening Mr. Mittal, who is on a visit to Odisha met the Chief Minister at his residence and discussed for about an hour. Mr. Mittal thanked the Government of Odisha and the Kendrapara District Administration for the support and cooperation provided for the project. The Chief Minister too asked Mr. Mittal to speed up the project work.
Before meeting the Chief Minister, Mr. Mittal toured the proposed project area and reviewed the progress of the 12 million ton Integrated Steel Plant being set up in Kendrapara district with senior officials of the company and district administration.. He too had a discussion with the Paradip port authorities.

Arcelor Mittal in association with Nippon Steel (AM/NS) is establishing a 12 MT Integrated Greenfield Steel Plant in Kendrapada district with an investment of more than Rs 50,000 crore. An MOU was signed between the State Government and Arcelor Mittal Nippon Steel in March this year in the presence of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and L N Mittal.
