Bhubaneswar, January 31, 2025: Reliance Jio marked National Road Safety Month with impactful awareness campaigns across the state under the banner of “PARWAAH”, an initiative that underscored care and responsibility for oneself and others on the road. The month-long awareness campaign commenced in the beginning of the month by Mr. Pradeep Rout, State Business Head, Reliance Jio Infocomm Ltd.
The “PARWAAH” campaign is a call to action for promoting road safety practices among Jio employees, their families, and the broader community. The campaign focused on the golden road safety rules such as encouraging the use of ISI 4151-certified full-face helmets, advocating for the consistent use of seatbelts, reinforcing adherence to traffic rules and regulations, never drink and drive, obey speed limits, avoid distractions, be cautious in bad weather and regularly check your vehicle.
By highlighting these essential practices, Jio aims to instil a culture of responsibility and mindfulness among road users, driving home the message that every life matters.
As part of this initiative, awareness road shows were organised by Jio employees in the cities of Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Brahmapur, Rayagada, Bhawanipatna, Keonjhar, Angul / Nalco, Sambalpur, Rourkela, Baripada and Bhadrak, along with engaging measures like Quiz competitions, road safety pledge, poster and slogan competitions etc. These initiatives garnered enthusiastic participation, with activities designed to educate and engage participants in meaningful ways. Through this campaign, Jio reiterates its commitment to fostering safer roads and ensuring the well-being of its employees, their families, and the wider community.
In line with its commitment to spreading awareness amongst employees on this Road Safety Month, a Road Safety Session was also organised with experts from this field, Dr. Bikas Mohapatra of Forum for Prevention of Road Safety and Mr. Krushna Chandra Samal, retired DCP Traffic – Cuttack. The experts enlightened the participants from across the state on the common causes of road accidents and the important preventive measures.
As part of the National Road Safety Month observance, Jio invites everyone to join hands in embracing safe driving habits and protecting the lives of our loved ones.
Drive safe, stay safe!
