Listenlights Engineering & Construction Partners with Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology to build a Center of Excellence that will curate future Data Center Engineers
Bhubaneswar,July 15,2025:Listenlights Engineering and Construction, India’s Largest MEP GC service provider for Data Centers (in terms of completed capacity) has partnered with the Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) to help Mechanical, Electrical and Civil engineering students get real-world experience and become industry ready. This new partnership brings together classroom learnings and on-site training that enables students to build a strong career from day one. A MOU to this effect was signed last week.
Through this partnership, Listenlights Engineering and Construction will transform KIIT’s existing Data Center into a Center of Excellence, which will equip the students with hands-on experience with systems and tools used in real time engineering projects, especially in modern Data Centers.
One of the main programs under this partnership is the Work Integrated Learning Program (WILP). It allows Junior Engineer Trainees (JETs) and Graduate Engineer Trainees (GETs) who work at Listenlights to earn their B.Tech or M.Tech degrees from KIIT while continuing their jobs. They can choose to specialize in important technical areas like Quality Assurance (QA) and Testing & Commissioning (T&C), fields that are crucial for delivering safe, high-quality projects but are usually not covered deeply in college courses.
The students trained in Tools like Autodesk will get a chance to use their BIM modelling knowledge and skills on actual projects, providing them with real project learning. This practical exposure will make it easier for them to step into jobs after graduation.
This partnership is more than just training or internships. It’s a way for educational institutes and companies to collaborate and build a new generation of engineers who are ready to work from day one.
