Manipal Hospital Bhubaneswar Celebrates 500+ Successful Kidney Transplants, Highlighting Patient Resilience and Exceptional Care
Bhubaneswar, 12th February 2025: Manipal Hospital Bhubaneswar celebrated the achievement of over 500 successful kidney transplants, showcasing not only the incredible resilience of the patients but also the hospital’s unwavering commitment to providing exceptional medical care and life-changing treatments. The event, held on February 12, 2025, brought together patients, doctors, and key stakeholders in a heartfelt gathering that highlighted inspiring recovery stories, shared valuable medical insights, and provided the Manipal Sathi Privilege Card to kidney transplant patients.
The event was graced by Chief Guest Dr. Umakant Satpathy, Additional Director of Medical Education & Training and State Nodal Officer of SOTTO, and Guest of Honor Shri Sabyasachi Mishra, renowned Indian actor and founder of Smile Force. Approximately 50-60 patients attended the gathering, which featured engaging talks by Dr. Saktimaya Mahapatra, Hospital Director and Dr Siddhartha Mishra, Unit Head of Medical Services. Additionally, transplant recipients shared their emotional and motivational experiences of overcoming kidney failure and embracing a renewed life after successful transplantation.
The program was further enriched by talks from distinguished doctors, including Dr. Manas Ranjan Pradhan, Dr. Sai Prasad Sahu, Dr. Subodh Kumar Das, and Dr. Sukanto Kishore Das, Senior Consultants in Urology and Nephrology at the hospital.
