Shyam Steel to expands its dealer distribution network and business operations in Odisha

Bhubaneswar:Shyam Steel, one of leading producers and manufacturers of primary TMT Bars hosted a dealers meet in Odisha towards expanding its dealer distribution network and augment the company’s business operations in the region.Odisha is one of the key markets for Shyam Steel and the brand aims to be the leader in the primary TMT bar segment in the State.

Shyam Steel has around 850 dealer distribution networks in the state and is actively trying to increase its presence in newer territory. The Group has a strong presence in North and East Odisha and now is eyeing to expand its operation in West and South Odisha which includes district like Sambalpur, Jharsuguda, Rourkela, Subarnapur, Rayagada, Gajapati, Koraput, Malkangiri etc. Shyam Steelhas a robust logistics network in the state which ensures a constant supply of the required products.

Commenting on the development, Mr Lalit Beriwala, Director, Shyam Steel said, “We have received a very good response from the Odisha market and are looking to expand further our dealership network and business operations in the State. Shyam Steel with an annual turnover of Rs 4,500 crores is now on a steady expansion mode braving the disruptions caused by COVID-19 pandemic.The group will be targeting to double its turnover to INR 9000 crore in the next three years’ time. Currently, Shyam Steel has a production capacity of 0.7 million tonnes a year, and by April 2023, it plans to expand its capacity to 1 million tonnes a year.Shyam Steel has a strong presence in West Bengal, Bihar, Assam, Jharkhand, Odisha and Uttar Pradesh. They have recently expanded its operation in North India and also in Andhra Pradesh and Telengana. The brand is associated with Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma as the face of the company in addition to having Sonu Sood as its Build India Brand Ambassadors and have recently added Vijay Devarakonda to the pantheon of famous endorsers. The company has also recently launched the Shyam Steel Apna Ghar app to provide consumers with hassle-free purchase of TMT bars and to boost the sales of their dealer distributor network.
