ENGINEER , RURAL WORKS SUB-DIVISION, SALIPUR, DIST-CUTTACK.”
Bhubaneswar : Another engineer is caught in vigilance trap today in Kendrapadra.
As per the information provided by Vigilance Department , on the allegation of possession of disproportionate assets by Sri Arjun Kumar Sahoo, Asst. Engineer , Rural Works Sub-Division, Salipur, Dist- Cuttack, simultaneous house searches are being conducted by Odisha Vigilance today i.e on 3.11.2023. The raid is led by 8 DSPs, 8 Inspectors, 7ASIs and other staff on the strength of the search warrants issued by Hon’ble Special Judge, Vigilance, Bhubaneswar at the following 8 places in Khurdha (Bhubaneswar), Cuttack and Kendrapara districts.
1.One three storeyed building located at Khandagiri Vihar, Lane No.2, plot No. 125/3056, Bhubaneswar.
- The double storeyed building located at village Sadanandapur under Derabis Tahasil, Kendrapara.
- The rented house of Sri Sahoo at Balarampur, Kendrapada.
- The office room of Sri Sahoo located at Rural Works Sub-Division, Salipur, Dist- Cuttack.
- The Govt. Residential quarter located at Salipur, Dist- Cuttack.
- The house of his relative at Raipur, Kendrapara.
- House of his close associate Kumar Behera at Badahat, Kendrapara.
- The rented house of another close associate of Sri Sahoo near District Agriculture office, Kendrapara.
During house searches so far, the following assets have been unearthed in the name of Sri Sahoo and his family members;
1) Triple storeyed Building with area approx 5000 Sqft. at plot No-45, Khandagiri Vihar, Bhubaneswar worth approx. Rs.1 Crore.
2) Single storeyed building with area 1729 Sqft.at Sadanandapur, Derabis, Kendrapara.
3)21 plots including 1 in prime area of Bhubaneswar and other plots in Kendrapara district. Details as under;
i) A piece of land measuring an area of 0.055 dec. vide Khata No-1133 and Plot No-45, Mauza- Bhubaneswar Sahar.
ii) A piece of land measuring an area of 0.08 dec. vide Khata No-219/122 and Plot No-69/719 & 69/540, Mauza-Kajala, Kendrapara.
iii) A piece of bagayat land measuring an area of 0.420 dec. vide Khata No-244 and Plot No-103, Mauza-Derakespur, Derabis, Kendrapara.
iv) A piece of land measuring an area of 40.345 dec. vide Khata No-263 and Plot No-1430, Mauza-Panasuudha, Kendrapara.
v) A piece of land measuring an area of 0.190 dec. vide Khata No-263 and Plot No-506, Mauza- Panasuudha, Kendrapara.
vi) A piece of land measuring an area of 0.080 dec. vide Khata No-219/88 and Plot No-386/670, Mauza- Kadali, Kendrapara.
vii) A piece of land measuring an area of 0.140 dec. vide Khata No-507 and Plot No-1890, Mauza- Sadanandapur, Kendrapara.
viii) A piece of land measuring an area of 0.180 dec. vide Khata No-263 and Plot No-1370, Mauza- Panasuudha, Kendrapara.
ix) A piece of land measuring an area of Ac 1.16 dec. vide Khata No-132 and Plot No-69, Mauza- Kajala, Kendrapara.
x) A piece of bagayat land measuring an area of Ac 1.50 dec. vide Khata No-244 and Plot No-103, Mauza- Derakespur, Derabis, Kendrapara.
xi) A piece of Agriculture land measuring an area of Ac 1050 dec. vide Khata No-595 and Plot No-1443, 1122, 1118, 1889, 1416, 1417, 1112, 1305, 2515, 1131 & 1288 Mauza- Sadanandapur, Derabis, Kendrapara.
The measurement and valuation/assessment of the above buildings/ plots is being carried out by Vigilance Technical Wing.
4) Cash Rs.5,45,040/-.
5) Bank deposits & investment in Share market over Rs.88.26 Lakhs.
6) Postal, Insurance and other deposits are under verification.
7) 3 four wheelers (Hyundai Creta, Swift DZIRE & Maruti Suzuki) and 4 two wheelers.
