Kandhamal(Kaling Voice) Big success to Odisha police. special operation group (SOG) under the direct supervision of Kandhamal Superintendent of Police Prateek Gita Singh has destroyed a Maoist camp in Samarbandha forest area under Firingia police station in Kandhamal district. The SOG team reportedly seized a large quantity of explosives from the camp.
The SOG team launched an operation in the jungle on June 28 to nab all the 15 Maoists including 5 women. However, all the Maoists managed to escape from the spot in the dense forest. Fifteen kilograms of explosives, including paramilitary units urea, guns, and other explosives, were seized from the spot. By intensifying the search operation, the SOG team recovered 24 detonators, multimeters, bags, black caps, rechargeable batteries, camp equipment, Maoist banners, posters and literature. Kandhamal Superintendent of Police Pratik Gita Singh said combing operations were still in full swing in the area.
